Introduction to educational evaluation

Establishing the concept of evaluation with the most basic scientific principles and positions is obviously the first step towards its implementation in an appropriate and effective way. With this thinking as a starting point, this book attempts to provide the cognitive, and by extension the ideological background, to anyone in the field of education who is – directly or indirectly – related to it. In doing so, it attempts to contribute to the reflection that has been going on for several years on a number of issues that arise in the design and implementation of education and before that: Should evaluation be carried out in education, if so who or what should be evaluated, for what purpose, how should it be implemented?

The answer to these questions, from future and current, evolving teachers, students and administrators, may be the first step to change its orientation and redirect it towards a better destination, through a path that offers motivation and inspiration.
