At this original monograph, the author, using the biblical testimonies as a starting point, seeks the theological and medical justification for the death of a large number of Israelites during their pilgrimage in the desert, caused by the excessive consumption of the God-given food of quails.
From his theological research , based mainly on the hermeneutical positions of the Church Fathers, it is clear that this death was God’s pedagogical punishment for his people, because of the sin of gluttony, which they committed in order to satisfy only their material survival but not their spiritual pleasure. From the corresponding medicine , provided by the scientific findings of its practitioners so far, it is presumed to be an “epidemic of foodborne disease due to excessive consumption of infectious agent contaminated quail meat”.
