“The winged one’s wing”
This is what the author’s grandfather called the sun, whenever he felt its beneficial rays on him. The poor man who has no money has the sun for a coat. The play takes us back to the 1950s and 60s. Difficult years and with the wounds of the 1922 refugee crisis still open. The Lady lives prostrate in her little room. She has no blood relatives and is cared for by her compassionate neighbours. Because of the loneliness she feels, she devises things to keep her visitors close to her, and calls the children playing outside her door with her characteristic call: “Parthenas kortsopo”, Kerekis aguropon”, etc. Her lonely hours are spent with her visions of home coming alive before her. As in the previous play, through realistic dialogues we are transported to the climate of the time and the situation at that time. The human characters are people of that time.
“The humiliator”
Through realistic dialogues we are transported to the climate of the time and the situation that prevailed at the time. The human characters are people of that time.
