Communication skills of school principals. Views of teachers and Secondary School Directors, Volume 11

The importance of communication skills in the work of a school principal was the motivation for conducting this research. In order to find out whether and to what extent school unit directors possess communication skills to be effective in their work, the opinion of teachers and managers serving in secondary education units in Evros prefecture was sought. Participants anonymously assessed, through an electronic questionnaire, the communication skills of their principals and expressed their views on the necessity of possessing and improving them. Important results emerged from the data processing, useful for education managers to gain a clear picture of communication skills. Also, they could be useful to state institutions in the selection and training processes of education managers.
